My husband and I took our kids– 12 and 10. It was easy to get to and lived up to the reviews. The sights were beautiful, the staff went above and beyond, and we came home with some souvenirs.

We were greeted at the door by Jamie– she basically took my family under her wing. She made great suggestions and was so so kind. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and funny.

The cave tour itself lasted about an hour. You can walk at your own pace and take as many pictures as you like. There are different rooms that each have their own story. The mystery lake was our favorite. The cave stays cool but the tight spaces got a little warm.

Wear stable shoes, as the interior is slick and steep in some places. I’m happy I didn’t wear my sandals, like I had planned. There are several tight spaces which may be difficult to get through if you are 275+ lbs. There is also some crouching, in case you have a bad back or knees. There are several steps to get from the gift shop to the cave and several down to the boat dock, should you decide to go down.

After the tour, we got some free fish food and fed the carp from the boat dock. We also bought the sand/dirt to sift in their awesome mining attraction. Perfect for kids and adults, alike!

Thank you, Jamie and everyone else for a fun afternoon!
